Recently came across one of the most amazing quotes I have seen in a long time. Something from the ‘you can’t make this stuff up’ department.
On July 7 2017 Malcolm Turnbull (the Prime Minister of Australia) unloosed this gem on his constituents. The context of his remark was the proposal of new laws in Australia that would require internet companies to give law enforcement access to encrypted content by suspected extremists and other ne’er-do-wells.
“The laws of Australia prevail in Australia, I can assure you of that. The laws of mathematics are very commendable, but the only laws that applies in Australia is the law of Australia.”
Um. Yeah. Let us know how that works out for you
